Feature selection of RAPD haplotypes for identifying Peach Palm (Bactris gasipaes) landraces using SVM

چکیده
This present work presents a robust system for the feature reduction, using Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) primer. This system reaches up to 100% classes identification based on Support Vector Machines (SVM). In particular, the biochemical parameterization has 89 Random Amplified polymorphic DNA (RADP) primers of Pejibaye Palm races, and it has been reduced to 10 RADP primers. The development of this application provides economic and computational advantages. When it is reduced the number of primers, this application reduces the economic cost, being a process so much cheaper, up to 11.24% from the initial process. On the other hand, the use of our supervised classification system is faster in order to do a method of origin denomination plant certification, due to reduce the dataset up to 11.24%.

Molecular analysis and validation of primitive races peach palm (Bactris gasipaes) by means of markers RAPD
Molecular markers were used to examine the genetic variability of eight landraces of peach palm (Bactris gasipaes var. gasipaes) and two wild populations (Bactris gasipaes var. chichagui), their relationships and genetic structures. Two hundred plants of these 8 races were used and 18 plants of the two wild populations, one from the Magdalena River, Colômbia, and the other from the Xingu River,...
متن کاملDomestication of Peach Palm in Southwestern Amazonia
The peach palm (Bactris gasipaes Kunth) is the only Neotropical palm domesticated by Native Americans. Its place of origin as a crop (B. gasipaes var. gasipaes) has been debated for more than a century, with three hypotheses currently in discussion: southwestern Amazonia; northwestern South America; or multiple origins in the distribution of the wild relatives (B. gasipaes var. chichagui). The ...
متن کاملAn Integrated Hypothesis on the Domestication of Bactris gasipaes
Peach palm (Bactris gasipaes Kunth) has had a central place in the livelihoods of people in the Americas since pre-Columbian times, notably for its edible fruits and multi-purpose wood. The botanical taxon includes both domesticated and wild varieties. Domesticated var gasipaes is believed to derive from one or more of the three wild types of var. chichagui identified today, although the exact ...
متن کاملGenetic divergence among populations and accessions of the spineless peach palm from Pampa Hermosa landrace used in the heart-of-palm agribusiness in Brazil
Although originally domesticated for its fruit, exploitation of the peach palm (Bactris gasipaes Kunth) in the production of gourmet heart-of-palm has also become an important activity, hence the need for improved material for large-scale production, on employing the Pampa Hermosa landrace as the seed source. In this study 11 microsatellite markers were used to evaluate genetic divergence among...
